While the main storyline of an RPG is always the focus for developers, the post-game is arguably just as important. In more recent years, the Pokémon series has become rather infamous for its lack of post-game content. Introduced in Pokémon Emerald version and carried into generation four, the Battle Frontier gave players the perfect space to train their end-game teams against some of the toughest challenges the games have had to offer. Yet, none of these features are more sorely missed than the Battle Frontier. Some of the most mourned features are the Soar HM, Pokémon Amie and lately, whole evolution lines of Pokémon themselves.
The Pokémon franchise has a habit of adding new features in games only to remove them in the following installments.
